The Pink 50’s were born in a dusty garage in Detroit’s Downriver region in the final days of a hot Summer long forgotten. All the while reeking of dry malt liquor and Marlboro ash, the trio have set the Metro-Detroit punk scene ablaze in the past few years, and we’re still trying to figure out how.
Could it be the riveting tales of terror as told from orator and guitarist Luke Paul? Zarch’s drum beat, akin to those used to rally the demonic armies of the underworld? Or is it the funky and devastating grooves conjured by The Natty God with the help of his mythical bass rhythms?
Regardless of what speculation may have about The Pink 50’s, there is but one agreed upon notion by fans and on-lookers alike: Their garage-bred fusion of Punk, Heavy Metal, and authentic Detroit Rock & Roll is nothing short of glorious!
